I decided to spend Christmas this year with the kids at Geon Christian Children’s Home in Seoul with members from Jubilee Church. I’ve always had a special place in my heart for children and really was honored at the chance to spend time with some of them. I had some hesitations and aches, however, as I wondered how they would take the experience, often a one-time visit with perfect strangers. I worried it would do more hurt than good, not wanting them to feel we were just there doing our “good deed for the day”. I did the best that I could in the precious time I had with them, to show them love that I still need myself. It was just a few hours, but I hope I can see them again.
