Happy New Year.

The end of the year is always bitter-sweet. A shrieking reminder of how fast time goes by, but also a welcome time of renewal. This year has been one of growth and much to be grateful for. A year of gain as well as loss. I moved to New York and am spending the remaining days of the year in Seoul. This month also marked the passing of my grandmother. She was a precious soul and I am grateful for the time I was able to spend with her. May she rest in peace. I had made a quiet trip to the states this month to attend the funeral service and spend time with my family, which went by in a blink of an eye.

This year was also the year my little sister went off to college, so proud of her (the smartest and kindest of us sisters). My older sister gave birth to my first nephew, the sweetest, most perfect baby I’ve ever laid eyes on. I cannot lie, I miss him the most. Also my childhood friend got married which was truly meaningful not only to her, but also to me. She means the world to me, Sarah, if you’re reading this, I hope you know how much I love you. And to all my friends I consider my family, you have no idea the strength, love and just about everything you’ve given me. I owe you everything that I am.

I am not the greatest with words, perhaps that is why I fell in love with taking photos. There are so many other things to be said but I’ll keep it simple.

Cheers to a new year. I pray that it will be exciting, captivating and loving, one of great times with great people. And my camera on my shoulder.
